Maharishi University of Enlightenment (MUE) is the university of the Global Mother Divine Organization. Currently Maharishi University of Enlightenment offers BA, MA, and PhD programmes in Maharishi Vedic Science™–the science of consciousness–at its campus in Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa.
Founded in 1998, Maharishi University of Enlightenment offers a curriculum, environment, and routine designed to maximize students’ growth towards their full development in enlightenment. Students at MUE study Maharishi Vedic Science with an emphasis on the experience of the development of consciousness.
Through their daily practice of Maharishi’s Technologies of Consciousness–Transcendental Meditation® and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi™ Programme, including Yogic Flying–the students immerse themselves in the direct personal experience of pure consciousness.
The students discover that the field of pure consciousness, the home of all the laws of nature–total knowledge of natural law–is found in their own Self as the unity that underlies and gives rise to all diverse knowledge. They integrate this experience and understanding of consciousness with courses that explore the arts, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.
The practical benefit of this approach can be seen in how effortlessly and enthusiastically students grasp the concepts of any academic discipline, and from the inner happiness and bliss they radiate as they grow in higher states of consciousness.
The Global Mother Divine Organization plans to establish Maharishi University of Enlightenment in many countries around the world.

Maharishi College of Enlightenment
Inspired by the success of Maharishi University of Enlightenment,
Maharishi College of Enlightenment was recently created as a division
of Maharishi University of Management™ (MUM) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
Beginning in August 2011, Maharishi College of Enlightenment will
begin offering a three-year BA programme in Maharishi Vedic
Science to women students.
This three-year BA programme utilizes a unique curriculum based on Total Knowledge, where students study twelve different fields of knowledge in the light of Maharishi Science and Technology of Consciousness. During the first semester of each year, students are led from the concrete to the abstract levels of each discipline in the light of the knowledge of consciousness, culminating in the unified basis of all fields of knowledge, which they directly experience as their own Self through the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programmes. In the second semester the progression of study is reversed: each field of knowledge is explored from its fundamental principles and basis in consciousness to its practical applications in society.
